ahem, I mean.....

Snow fell from the sky like angels wings that had wrestled themselves free and coasted on the breeze down to the fluff covered mounds on the ground.  The silence of the outdoors due to the cold flakes created an outer atmosphere that transported you to another world while the glittering of the light glistened off the powdered inches that covered the streets.  Cold bit the nose and caused shivers up and down but tonight was a very special night, one that he would have stood outside waiting for weeks to experience.  The roads weren't treacherous yet as the snowfall had only just begun and the night sky had just begun its nightly stay in a star filled sky.  He considered himself luckier than anyone on the planet and actively had to pinch himself a few times just to make sure he was indeed not dreaming.  The beautiful girl had taken his heart and spent a handful of nights with him which they enjoyed some gaming as well as chatting while their bodies gave off waves towards one another that sent lightning up his spine.  Tonight was a special night that could only have been better if it had been raining candy from the sky.  She had stayed in the area longer to spend more time with him and was on her way over for the night.  As the snow fell around him, he couldn't help but notice the symbolism of how each snowflake was different and filled the skies around him.  Like her, there were so many different snowflakes around him in life but the one that landed on his nose made him feel the best he ever had.  He checked the time and tried to calm the butterflies in his stomach but they knew that she would be arriving any second now.  Almost as if he willed it to happen, her car slowly pulled around the corner and parked and then he saw her.  She got up out of the car and a smile spread across her face.  The notion that if he died right then and there he would die a happy man swam its way through his thoughts.  She made her way over to him and he couldn't help but stare at her noticing how cute she was due to her shorter stature and the way she had a sort of suttle bounce in her step that gave her an extra added attractive quality.  They greeted and hugged, her body close to his just about made him speechless as he grasped around for the words of response for her.  She giggled at his stumbling and wanted to get inside as she had something special for him.  His room wasn't anything special but it gained new meaning to him now that she had inhabited it a few times already.  Suitably he had strung lines of Christmas lights around the ceiling of his room to give it a colorful glow that calmed and provided festive decoration at the same time.  His adrenaline began to rise the closer she got to him and it took everything in his power not to pull her close and kiss her until the sun came up.  Maybe tonight would be the night he would have the courage to make the jump and take the chance.  They enjoyed some snacks while they tried out new games and talked about past Christmas experiences and he did his best to make her laugh and smile.  It couldn't have gone any better.  She was beautiful, smart, and continued to discover more shared interests between one another that made their hearts beat so loud it was amazing they could even hear one another speak.  She moved herself closer to him to be nearer and their arms caressed together as they continued to game.  He was nervous but he wanted to ask her so badly and he felt the moment coming, the game almost disappeared he was so preoccupied by her.  Finally he could take it no longer and put an arm around her.  She leaned her head over onto his shoulder and he knew, this was it.  He started his sentence nervously but picked up some confidence before the end. 
I was wondering if you would like to be my girlfriend.
Not his best attempt at a coherent sentence but the point was made.
She smiled bigger than he ever saw and she looked down almost embarrassed. 
Well, she said, that was actually part of the surprise I brought you tonight.
Oh?
She reached into her pocket and took out a bow and tied it around herself and leaned in to plant a kiss on his lips.
My present was me.
Their hands interlocked and his heart practically exploded he was so happy.
I wouldn't like anything more dew drop.
Christmas that year brought him what he wanted most and made him happier than he had ever felt.
The best gift he could've ever wished for.
