The Beauty Kills the Beast

Dante held the gun right up against Smythe's head, he struggled a little and the look on his face showed that this wasn't how he had planned.  Dante had a big smile on his face, Price didn't seem happy at all but knew that no matter the outcome, that case was his.
Dante walked closer.  "Well well well, look at how many people we got here.  Caught this little shit outside and had to take care of all his little spies around the place.  It's just us in here now, this is going to get interesting."
Meg grabbed Edward's hand, her heart was beating insanely fast not sure what to do next.  Edward squeezed back with enough force to calm her but also let her know that they weren't finished yet.  He took the lead.
"Been a long time Dante, that guy isn't who you want it's me."
"Doesn't matter who I want, I can still kill all of you in here and get what I want."
Price looked offended.  "Dante, just take them out, I'll get the case and then we leave.   Nobody even has to find them here.  They can rot forever."
"That does sound good Price, unfortunately I can't let you out of here either."
"What?"
"I'm sure I could trust you but from what you've prove through this whole ordeal is that maybe I can't trust you like I thought I did.  Why not just let me and my men handle this?  Why send your own spies out.  Why come out here yourself?  No faith in me?"
"That's not it, I just....I just wanted to be totally sure I got the case back."
"Then why not trust that I would do it?"
"I was hearing what was going on.  The fire, the attacks, Victoria."
"Word travels fast."
"I just wanted to make sure.  It was nothing personal."
"Yeah well that's how I'm taking it."
Edward saw the moment in Smythe's eyes cluing them in that this was indeed part of the plan anyways, they were arguing among themselves.  Meg looked up at him for acknowledgment on what to do next, he nodded at her.  Dante was walking a little closer, gun trained on the group of them now, his other arm strangling Smythe by the neck and dragging him along next to him.
"I say I start with this little informant and then move on to the happy couple.  So sweet how you two are in love and causing me so much pain."
Meg couldn't help herself.  "Pain?  Like you caused my friend?"
"Little lady has a voice now, I"m impressed."
"You don't deserve this case, whatever the hell it is to you it'll never clean your soul enough for the afterlife."
"Don't care ma'am, I just want it all over and to know that you don't exist in this world anymore."
Price ran over and grabbed the case off of the table and held it closely to his chest.  "I've got it Dante, get rid of them and lets go!"
"Price I warned you, don't you dare move."
"But we got it, it's over!"
"You aren't listening.  You've proven weak and untrustworthy, you have to go."
"That's not fair!  We did it!  I have it, it's over!  Shoot them and take half my company like you demanded.  We go our separate ways and it's over."
"Hmm, you know, I've been thinking, I think I want all your company."
"All....my...."
Smythe stopped struggling and was staring right into Edward's eyes, a silent telepathic message going back and forth between the two watching the gang members argue and hatching a plan of their own waiting for the exact moment.  Price got his nerves back and became angry.  "Dante, you let me go or you get nothing and I'll make sure you don't walk out of here."
"Oh really?  I'm the one with the gun jackass."
"You so sure about that?"
Price revealed a gun he had behind the case and lifted it, a shot rang out loudly around them and a bullet grazed Dante in the shoulder.  "Ah  you asshole!"
Dante shot back hitting Price square between the eyes, in the force of the hit he threw the case in the air, opening it and bills rained out all over.  Smythe took this opportunity to get his plan back and slammed his heel as hard as he could into Dante's foot.  He screamed out in pain and Smythe headbutted behind him into Dante's chin.  Dante stumbled backwards dropping his gun.  Smythe ran to the couple.
"Go!  Now!  I've got him!"
It was all so fast, Meg looked to Edward for confirmation and tried to slow things down around her to get a barring on what was exactly going on and before she knew it more gunshots were firing out.  Dante still had two men alive who came in through the door and began firing on the three of them.  Edward and Meg each pulled out a gun and took cover behind the table, firing out at the two men.  Dante stumbled around looking for his gun in between it all.  Edward was a set shot and knocked out the one member while Meg fired off when she could to take out the second.  She took a breath to remember the training she had and looked down the barrel through the sight.  Lining up the man she took her shot and opened both eyes to see him fall down to the ground dead.  Dante found his gun as Smythe was running at him.  It was quick and he managed to squeeze a shot off into Smythe's leg causing him to fall to the ground clutching his now bleeding leg.
"Enough of this!  I'm taking you all down with me if I have to!"
As soon as he finished his sentence, his right leg was shot and he fell to the ground.  His gun went sliding away and he looked up to see Meg walking towards him with her gun aimed right at him.
"You put me through hell.  You took time away from me that  I could have used to start a new life with Edward.  Weeks of my life are now gone because of you."
"Fuck you."
"Your men tried to shoot me, stab me, fuck me, and kill me.  Well I'm done."
She shot his other leg and he yelled out in pain, falling to the ground completely unable to crawl away.
"I'm thankful for this because it brought me to Edward.  Yes, we're in love and you can't take that away from us no matter where you chase us to.  But I'm choosing now and I choose to stop running.  This is where I get my happily ever after and you aren't adding any more chapters to that story."
"The hell are you talking about you bitch?  It's a fucking case!  All you had to do was hand it over and not run!  You caused this!!"
She shot him in his other shoulder, he screamed out again and laid his body down shaking, looking into her eyes.
"If I caused it, then I'm ending it.  Sorry Dante, but you lose.  Try as you must but there is no defeating love.  The name is Megels, remember it as you spend the rest of your days in Hell."
"Pfft, I'll see you down there."
"Oh you better hope not, you think I"m pissed now?  No Dante, Hell is for you.  I've had an angel look out for me and I've fallen for him.  He would never let me burn."
She raised the gun to his head and Edward looked on.
"Enjoy your inferno."
A gunshot exploded into the air echoing throughout the building.  Dante's lifeless body fell to the floor and Meg felt the weight a thousand pounds lifted off of her shoulders.  They all stood in silence just taking in the fact that it was all over.  Edward came over and held her from behind, kissing her forehead.  "Proud of you dew drop."
Smythe surveyed the area.  "Congratulations guys, you did it.  Now help me pick up all this cash, I think we deserve a reward."

To My Muse with Love

He thought of her, the paper in front of him begging to be dressed in a kaleidascope of colors.  His muse was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, the more his eyes looked upon her the more his imagination flowed with ideas.  The subject of this piece was to be her, it was going to be a tough task to be able to translate something so pretty to the page making sure his hands got it all down perfectly.  This time he was lucky as the subject of this masterpiece was set in front of him, posing under the lights with a fan keeping her cool.  The pencil was picked up and sharpened slowly, the shavings hitting the floor ever so quietly as not to disturb the scene.  The angle of the canvas only allowed her to see the top half of his face, his eyes watching her carefully and taking in every detail of her majesty.  As if on a musical cue in his head, the graphite struck the paper and moved in a flurry of circles and arcs, lightly tracing outlines of what would soon be her.  From her position he looked like he was conducting a symphony, the passion of it allowed her own mind to travel and hear the silent melodies in her head.  She was sat comfortably, leaning on one arm and her right leg up bent at the knee.  A spotless white sheet draped itself over her hips that exposed just enough skin to tantalize but not enough to become lewd.  Her outline was traced into view and he sat back comparing the two to ensure they matched up before he began stirring the paint cans.  Each color the consistency of liquid that held an aspect of her being.  The skin tone was mixed first with the brush dipped inside almost like he was making love to her and they were the tools.  The brisels touched the canvas and left impressions of color inside the traced form.  As he painted he could feel the piece coming alive and taking shape like he was bringing her into existence and the only way for her to move freely again was to finish the art.  The fan blew lovingly onto her whisking her hair around her in a way that made her feel like she was standing on the edge of the sea, the waves swirling the air around her.  He looked out from behind the board for a moment to take her in some more and their eyes locked.  She flirtingly batted her eyes and continued looking in front of her, keeping the pose.  He smiled at her and kept his gaze on her appreciating just how beautiful she was.  She did her best to keep the pose but knew he was looking and fought to keep her smile and giggle down as to not ruin the piece.  He winked at her.  Not yet my love, she said.  He cleared his throat and stabbed another brush into a bottle of brown.  His arm rode the invisible lines coming from the fan and danced along with her hair, a partnership that knew the dance well and never stepped on any toes.  The strands went all manner of ways but kept a soothing lead as if it were underwater and drifting along peacefully.  His hands had run through her hair, rolling themselves in and out of every opening.  The silk, sweet smelling locks slipped around his palms creating a feeling of deep massage-like calm that he could play with for hours and days.  Her brown eyes looked over at him again, her heart beat more and more.  She wanted him, they had been apart for a long time and this was her first night with him.  He had made her wait, he wanted to create first as she was his muse.  She agreed but could barely hold still.  She could hear the brush covering the surface, combined with the fan sounded like the crashing of waves at the bottom of a cliff side looking out over the sea.  She closed her eyes and became one with her heart, her love escalating for the man painting her.  The white of the sheet was next, all the various shades and shadows.  He painted like he was laying the blanket on her himself, each stroke was filled with emotion and care making sure that she was comfortable and happy even just on the material.  His favorite part was next, her face.  Time and care was taken to ensure every last little detail was captured perfectly.  He had committed her face to memory and every time he saw it his heart leapt and reached out hoping to touch her.  She had gorgeous brown eyes encircled by the sexiest of lashes.  When he looked into them he felt a world's worth of emotion from true love to his purpose in life.  She had the power to excite him and intrigue him with just one look, something he appreciated and found fascinating every time. Her lips were kissable and lush, the way they felt on his were extraordinary.  They would serve the heavenly purpose of not only being delicious but being the vehicle that provided the most melodious voice you'd ever heard, a voice that calmed and soothed and made you fall deeper in love.  The brush did its dance along the canvas in broad careful strokes like he was painting her himself to come to life.  When the finishing touches were finally laid, he picked up the piece and brought it over to her.  A crinkling of her nose followed by a smile was all he needed to make his legs feel like jelly.  Upon revealing the piece to her, it was like looking into a mirror.  It's beautiful she said.  Just like you he returned.  He set the piece down and took her in his arms, his lips finally being rewarded with the prize his eyes had been lucky enough to take in that day.  Her skin was just as milky smooth and she tasted the way Heaven looked.  Their lips found one another over and over raising every bump on their skin as their love blossomed loudly in the afternoon air.  His hands frolicking happily through her hair as she leaned herself back allowing him to discover every last inch of her body.  He only stopped for a moment to take the brush back up and bring with it a fresh scooping of paint.  The brush continued past the canvas now and on to her body where he painted flourishes of color on every curve.  Her body became a living canvas of life and love.  Each color adding a new element to her from her gorgeous face down to her breasts and toes almost like they were making love without even touching.  She returned the favor painting every feeling that she felt on to his body until the two of them were breathing paintings crafted with love by the other.  They laid together after their sultry artful dance, kissing and whispering sweet nothings into one another's ears.  He signed his name right under her tummy...edward.  Wanting to share and be one with her true love she did the same right under his...Megels.  Their lips were like long lost lovers being reunited after years at sea, love exploding in their hearts.  She felt complete, the rest of the world didn't exist or matter when in his arms.  He felt like the missing piece of his life was finally put into place, his beautiful, heartfelt, angel of a muse.  Their final words before drifting off into an afternoon rest were almost simultaneous and made both of their hearts skip a beat at just about the same time.
I love you.

The Final Meeting

The next morning the couple awoke, she looked stunning next to him.  One of his favorite things in the world was watching her eyes open in the morning revealing her beautiful hazel eyes.  She gave a smile and batted her eyelashes, his heart melted.
"Good morning dew drop."
"Good morning sweetheart, you look absolutely beautiful."
"You're not so bad yourself."
"Sleep well?"
"Always when I'm next to you."
They kissed, her lips were more and more wonderful every single time they touched his.  It was amazing to him how someone fit right into his so perfectly like they were crafted from the same mold and engineered to lock together.  She rolled onto her back, her brown hair falling just over her face, the light shining off of her skin.  She made a small noise stretching and sat up, the sheets falling around her.  All he could do was watch, to be so lucky he thanked God every night.  He reached out and caressed her back, he drew invisible pictures and traced her curves, dancing along the soft silky landscape that was her body.
"I love you Megels."
"I love you more Edward."
They kissed again almost forgetting that they had a final job to do.  She stole a few more kisses before making her way into the shower, he watched every move she made.  He had paid careful note to the jewlery stores along the way and without being creepy, checked her finger size one night when she was sleeping.  He knew exactly what he wanted to do and when to do it but he wanted to make sure they took care of business first.  She was a radiant sunshine on his life, the more he saw her the more his heart beat in new ways.  He could hear her singing over the splashing water.....

Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
For the morning sun in all it's glory
Meets the day with hope and comfort too
You fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
He listened to her, his ears being fed the most wonderful melody from the sweetest lips.  Her voice was magic and  whimsical.  This was a moment he didn't want to miss.  Quickly he got out of bed and sauntered over to the bathroom.  She was continuing on singing when a pair of hands came over her eyes blocking her vision.
"Guess who."
"Is he handsome?"
"Could be."
"Does he make me the happiest girl in the world?"
"Any way he can."
"Hmmmm, does he love me?"
"With all his heart and more."
She reached behind her and felt his chest down to his penis that was becoming erect.
"Is he naughty?"
"Only to the one he loves."
She turned around and kissed him on the lips, they showered one another and got dressed for the day.  She danced to a small radio while she dressed and he made sure they had everything they would need for the day.  When she came out she was dressed even prettier than he had seen her.  Jeans that showed off her sexy legs and a casual t-shirt with a bar of soap on the front that was carved to show the phrase Fight Club.  She was ready to end this.  He meanwhile had gotten everything ready from the case to their weapons to vests and all other such necessities.  Then with a kiss, they left the room hand in hand.
Smythe was in the main room and had just gotten off of his phone.
"Oh good, you're ready to go, my men have made sure that the grapevine has reached the two main enemies and word just got back that they are making their way to the destination.  Now, remember, these guys aren't stupid, they are going to be prepared for this and ready for a trap.  The key to this is to play it off like it isn't.  Truth be told it shouldn't take much acting as the two of you want this over with now so pretty much just act like you feel.  Ready to get rid of this thing.  Price will be there first, he's the most thirsty, Dante I'm sure won't be long and will try and surprise everyone.  Be careful, he isn't going to hesitate taking everyone out.  I'll be on the roofs with my men if something goes wrong but just play it cool and it'll all go according to plan."
"Heart is beating so fast, let's do this."
"I like her tenacity."
The group took separate cars and left the safehouse, each one going to a different point of the same location.  The couple held hands the whole way, the case laying in the backseat, all were ready to end this and begin their lives together.  The location wasn't too far away but far enough that it wasn't anywhere near a traceable route to Smythe's secret house.  When they pulled up to the building it looked like a cliche old abandoned factory with a huge open door in front.  They got out and kept the case close and walked into the ominous building.  Their footsteps echoed all around the cavernous inside with nothing around them except a small wooden table in the middle of the room.  They cautiously walked over and set the case down and waited, their hands squeezing one anothers.
"I love you"  They whispered to each other.
Suddenly they heard his voice over the air and Price walked out from the shadows, he was holding a gun at them.
"It's about god damn time I found you guys.  You've put me through some annoying trouble you know that?"
"Could say the same thing about you."
He walked over to the table and Meg kept a hand on the case.
"Ah, my case, I was worried I wasn't going to see it again after your stupid friend messed up the deal for me."
"Yeah well here it is, maybe now you can leave us the hell alone to move on with our lives."
"Look at the two of you, so in love and protective of each other.  It's adorable."
"Shut the hell up Price, we have what you want, put the gun down and get out of here." Edward threatened.
"Oh if it were only that easy.  You know way too much and I'm way too pissed, I can't just let you leave."
Another voice came from behind them.  "Funny, I could say the same thing."
Dante moved towards them but to their surprise he was holding Smythe around the throat with a gun to his head.  "I've been in this game far too long to fall for a trap like this.  Good afternoon Price....you two..."
Price looked shocked and a part of his was beginning to worry about his entire business and life.  Dante wasn't supposed to be here, he had it under control, who was that he had with him?
"Dante, what are you doing here?  This is over, I have the case now, we can stop and move on."
"Price you ass, I had it under control and now I see that you couldn't just sit and wait.  You could cost all of this for us because of your impatience.  Have you any idea what's been going on?  The men we've lost?  What has happened to the Royal Darkness?"
"Victoria?"
"Oh yes, you might want to get caught up on all the information."
Dante threw Smythe to the ground in front of the couple, they leaned down to help him up and stood at the mercy of two gunmen.  The room was quiet and Meg's heart was beating out of her chest.  This was it, they had the case, the battle was over, why keep going?
"You have the case, let us go and end this right now."
"Oh my dear, like Price said, you know too much.  I'm afraid you're going to be reunited with your friend now, I'm sure you have a lot to catch up on."
Dante and Price both lifted their guns at the couple and clicked them into ready positions.  Something had to be done, this was the final act.  Meg's mind raced with ideas until finally landing on one last ditch idea.  She was ending this, it had gone on long enough and there was no way in hell she wasn't getting her happily ever after with Edward at the beach.  She swallowed hard and closed her eyes.  Here goes nothing.

Middle of Night Missing You, Sweet Dreams to You

He couldn't sleep.  The feelings for her only grew and grew.  The way he missed her was escalating to new heights and tore at his heart like never before.  Everything had gone the way he had wanted it to go, true much slower than he wished but it was finally to the point where he was trying to get it to.  The only missing piece now was her.  The hole without her ached and he lay in bed alone thinking only of her.  The world was seemingly crafted for them and here he was by his lonesome ready to prove to her all of his love and more.  He had met her years ago and regaled her with stories to which she looked forward to on a weekly basis.  Their paths had parted after that only to meet up again on the most rarest and serendipitous times at a grocery store.  Everything in both of their lives had gone about in such a way as to meet up that fateful afternoon.  He can remember exactly how she looked and the sound of her beautiful voice.  They looked at one another right before she turned the corner to leave and his heart knew at that very moment that she was the one for him no matter what.  They met up again soon after falling for one another like no other person had before that.  He was so excited to share everything he could with her and the way their bodies touched that evening sent sparks throughout both of their souls.  It was undeniable that they were attracted to one another and that this wasn't just two people hanging out this was two soul mates who were feeling their paths together taking its first steps.  She was the only thing on his mind after that day in and day out.  That continued to this day.  He lived a nightmare the last couple years set into motion by a person that wasn't right for him and causing him to become lost on his path towards happiness.  This new path led to many a bad choice and callous decision that led him into darkness.  He was sad.  The depression ate at him every day and the more time he spent away from his true love the worse he felt.  So every night he prayed.  No matter how many times no matter how many tears he prayed the same thing every night.
Forgive me for hurting the one I love.  She means the world to me like nobody else I have ever met.  I fell in love with someone who has taken my heart to heights that I've always wanted to repay in spades.  She's the most beautiful girl I've ever met, with every part of her being fitting into me like the most perfectly designed puzzle piece.  My love for her goes into the stratosphere with the many many things I love about her.  She's the perfect height with the most perfect smile, she knows exactly how to make you feel better and relieve all stress.  She knows how to achieve what one wants in life no matter how scary it might be and while you take that ride with her it creates more memories than any book can hold.  She saw love and a future with me.  I am honored and lucky to have had someone see that in me.  I still see that.  I had the most beautiful girl offer me exactly what I wanted and I hurt her, if I could go back in time and fix the error of my ways I wouldn't even need a second to think.  She makes me happier than I thought I ever could be.  Not a day goes by that I don't think about her or our future and the fun we could have.  I miss our little apartment and how we made it our own.  From the art on the walls that she still hangs above her head to the nights spent with her head in my lap while we fell asleep to television.  What I miss most is being able to look to the side of me and see her.  Whether in bed clutching on to me or walking Universal Studios, knowing that the person next to me was my special someone was something I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.  It taught me just how powerful fear and anxiety can be and how defeating such a villain is key in achieving what you want in life.  I was fearful and let my anxieties choose for me instead of my heart.  I made mistakes, big mistakes that make me sadder by the day.  But I wouldn't be able to live with myself if the biggest mistake of all was to have her be the one that got away.
There is nobody in my life that I have ever come across where when I looked into their eyes I could actually see a future.  Just a meeting of our eyes, I felt a maturity and a safe and solid future where I knew it was all going to be okay.  That's something rare that most people don't come across.  One of the main things that gave me the courage to move states away with her was that feeling that when I looked at her I knew that no matter what happened, she would be there and we would be okay.  To say she is perfect almost seems like an understatement.  She's real.  She is the one person who I know that when together we can be our true selves.  Nothing needed to be hidden or embarrassed about.
I want to put a ring on her finger and feel the satisfaction of calling her my wife.  To take her to every comic con instead of every concert, to make sure she kicks my butt in Mario Kart, and when we are in the car that we sing as loud as possible to every Cher, Journey, and Pitch Perfect song.  I promised her my heart until the day I die and even then when we are ghosts and I intend to keep that promise.  One cannot atone for what he has done in the past and the pain caused but I am of the cleared and matured head now that I would without a doubt do whatever it took to please her and make it right.  I want to be near her and will move any distance to remedy that.  I want to hear her voice every day like the most serene music to my day.  I want to prove to her that her heart is in the best hands and she can be herself, her complete self nerding out in every way she wants.  I want to earn her heart the way a real man should for his woman.
Most of all I miss her.  She was the best partner a man could ever ask for.  My dreams are full of situations where I am searching for her or spending time with her.  Every night another time spent with her.  Looking out into the night sky at night knowing that she is out there, hoping her heart still beats and reaches out into the night as well.  She's all I've ever wanted and crazy or not, believe that we are meant to be.  God always puts us together no matter how far apart or time spent away, always keeps one another in the other's head no matter what is going on, and always makes me feel like the best me I can be when I even just think about her.  The reason she keeps looking.  The reason she keeps reading.  The reason every time she sees a turkey leg, hears the Harry Potter music, or looks up at her day of the dead canvases.  I'm not perfect, never claimed to be and made choices to reinforce it as well.  But she always made me feel like I was and that my dreams were always something to shoot for with her full support.  That is the definition of an angel.  A beautiful girl who makes you feel complete, heart full of love, and helps you achieve your dreams.  I've never been able to be that angel for anyone but for her, I'd be more than honored to take her hand and make it all a reality.  I want to be there when she succeeds, when she achieves greatness, and be there right by her side holding her when we take big steps in life.  This beautiful girl had the power to make me excited about bringing a baby into this world and what their name would be and excited for how I would raise my little one.  When I lay in bed at night I think about those days we cleaned to music or held hands walking around a flea market.  The look on her face when I brought her flowers or bought her Luigi's Mansion.  The feel of her body on mine while we laid in bed, the sound of a lake outside our window.
She made the best analogy anyone has ever made to me and wrote me a letter that I carry around with me to read every single day.  She truly is my Ramona Flowers.  I was the misguided Scot Pilgrim who was at first wooed by Knives Chau only to discover that she was too young and we didn't have any of the same interests.  In my dreams Ramona would always skate by and keep my heart reaching for her.  Scot wronged them both in the end and realized that he needed to mature, admit his mistakes, and let them both know how he felt.  Knives wasn't who he was in love with.  It was Ramona.  You were always my Ramona.  I will always be your Scot.  He may be a nerdy, video game obsessed, movie quoting artist.....but he knows exactly who he wants to be his player 2 in this game of life.  It's you.  You've have been and always will be my Peach.
My Zelda.
My Dean.
My lobster.
My Hermoine.
My Leia.
My Kazooie.
My weeeegeeeee.
My One.
My Only.
I love you more than life itself and no dragon is too big for me to fight off to ride in on my white horse to rescue you from the dangerous castle.  Whatever it takes, you know I'll be there for your heart and your hand.  You are the most beautiful, smart, caring, nerdy, awesome, fun, confident, amazing woman I've ever met.  I miss you like crazy and continue my dreams to you.  If you feel a little extra kiss on your heart tonight, know it was from me as I wish you very sweet dreams with feety pajamas and Lego Potter fantasies.  My heart is for you, my hand is for you, may you have a very restful sleep and a very good night my darlin dew drop.  Until tomorrow, my love to you.

Always.

The Plan Decided Before A Much Needed Rest

The trio decided to make all of their preparations that night and set about their plan in the morning.  They all needed some decent rest and it had felt like ages since they were able to sleep somewhere without any risk at all of someone following them, sneaking up on them, or planning some sort of attack for when they awoke.  It was a good nights rest well earned.  After they had gotten to know each other and went over the plan, they relaxed for a little and then figured out what all they would need and how the plan was going to go down.  Smythe was more knowledgeable than they first thought and was able to provide information on the likelihood of where their targets might be and where their contacts stationed themselves as well.  Smythe laid out the blueprints.
"Okay, so we know Price and Dante will be around the same area.  They both want the case for different reasons but only Dante will go a different route and kill whoever needs to be killed including Price just to be ahead of it all and come out on top.  Price has landed at the airport near here and will meet up with a contact that he has stationed there who has been checking all flights in case you guys landed in a plane.  Dante arrives tomorrow morning and his contact has a few men with them that will be searching all incoming roads and transportation routes to see if they can spot you coming in from anywhere.  Lucky for you, you're already here and in."
Meg was getting excited with the prospects of hatching a plan to strike back at them for once.
"We take the case to a location that has been seeded out as information through contacts and we wait there.  Edward won't be armed but I will be, I think I have had enough training to be pretty capable.  We want to handle the offer to Price first as Dante will undoubtedly step in and make things a little messy himself.  This takes the heat off of us and gives us a chance to work around those two for our own gains."
"Precisely, the moment that starts to happen, there is a good chance Dante will have Price eliminated which will leave him wide open for you to take the shot and take him down.  There is a chance he will have men with him for protection who will have their eyes on you though."
"That's where you come in, hoping you have enough people on your side who can stay in the shadows and cover us if things start to go that route."
"You leave that to me."
"Then once the dust clears, we burn the hell out of this case, take the money, and my happily ever after comes into my happily waiting arms."
"Sounds like a pretty decent plan.  I'll make contact with my men tonight and give them all the details, we will figure out the best place to do this and get the word out."
"Still crazy to me that this is all finally happening, can't wait to kick some butt."
"Tonight you rest, I need the both of you in tip top shape tomorrow."
"Don't gotta force me to get some much needed rest."
Edward was soaking it all in, normal for him as he liked to listen and absorb and make sure he knew all the plans and then go over them in his head the night before so he knew them like the back of his hand.  They broke and Smythe went off to do his thing leaving the couple to an upstairs room away from it all to have their privacy and get some sleep undisturbed.  They showered and changed and it felt amazing to lay in a comfy bed together knowing that they were safe and away from all eyes.  The moon had lit up the room giving it a blue tint.
"Darlin, you think tomorrow is going to go the way we planned it?"
"It's always possible that things could go a number of ways but I have my faith in you and your plan.  Seems pretty solid and as long as we keep cool heads, I think we have a shot at this."
"Feels so good.  I'm so glad we're here.  I'm so glad you're here.  I really love you, this whole adventure could have gone bad in so many ways but we made it.  We made it."
He kissed her and she smiled back at him making sure to show the crinkling of her nose.
"I've never been so happy to be involved in a gang war.  I would do it again and again if it meant always finding you."
"Likewise sweetheart, maybe minus the being shot part and more of the sexy parts though."
"Oh?  I am quite interested in these sexy parts you speak of."
He smiled.  "Well, seeing as how I can barely keep my hands off you...."
"Oh darlin please, keep those hands all over me."
They kissed on the lips and he moved his kisses down her neck and onto the top of her chest, she leaned back and closed her eyes, her skin already getting goosebumps.  He unbuttoned her shirt and kissed her bra.  Her nipples were so hard she wouldn't have been surprised if they popped her bra off themselves.  She could feel him getting so hard, rubbing it on her thighs closer and closer to her where she was getting wetter.  The release of stress and tension of being alone in a safe house must have added effects that were allowing her full emotions to increase for pleasure.  He removed her bra and began licking her nipples while she pulled out his rock hard penis and stroked it.  It was seconds before she couldn't wait and directed him inside of her.  They made love like they had to save the species, positions she hadn't tried before and even once was able to squirt.  He took her missionary, from behind on her hands and knees, and even gave her oral.  Her legs were shaking for the next hour and it was impossible for her to have even one coherent thought.  It was a risk but she didn't care, she wanted him to release inside of her.  When they were finished, their sweat glistened from the moonlight and they passed out in each other's arms drifting into the deepest sleep they ever had, recharging for the next day to enact their plan.

Price was staying in a nearby hotel to the airport and one of his contacts had just stopped over.
"They didn't land in a plane and we think they arrived before us.  There isn't anyone fitting their description coming in any of the entrance to the city."
"Damn, well at least they are here.  Would've been great to catch them off guard but we still have them.  Keep the information ears open, I want to know anything and everything that could possibly involve them."
"There's another thing sir.  We saw Dante land."
"Well shit."

Morning Poem for the One

It was awe inspiring to see her on her journey, they way she had grown while being chased and attacked everywhere she went.
At the start she had no part in the gang's business and through a friend mixed up in wrongdoings, a case full of trouble her way was sent.
Little did she know that that case would lead her to a meeting with a top crime boss, threatening her for something she had no part in.
Across the way was the man who she would fall madly for, watching her and feeling in his heart a connection to her in this battle he would make sure he would win.
When they met he could tell right away, the way she looked at him with her beautiful brown eyes and a smile that told you everything you ever needed to know.
He remembered vividly that same look before she turned the corner and their eyes met once again, without words they said chase me and I'll be there wherever you go.
His body was full of electricity and excitement for when they would meet again, next time doing what he could to feel her silky smooth skin.
She could feel it too, there was no denying it, a casual rub of arms, a brush of the hands, the kind of touching that gave you goosebumps and wonder about where you had always been.
When she spoke it was a sound that calmed every nerve, the most wonderful melody to the ears that he could and would listen to for hours.
She delighted in the way he always tried to make her laugh, feel good, and surprise her with where they went and what they did, he always made sure she had flowers.
The moment they kissed was something you couldn't put into words or show in a single painting, sparks could actually be seen and they were transported somewhere alone, just the two of them.
Holding her was like holding your own destiny, the feel of her body and the warmth of her soul was all you needed to see the future clearly, she was the long desired gem.
He would do anything for her, protect her from any fight or bullet, and make sure that he was there by her side through it all so that she could reach her ever after.
She made him feel like he could accomplish anything, that his wildest dreams were practical and no matter how difficult would be possible with her hand in his and full of laughter.
When he slept he dreampt of her, looking for her and being with her, but always wanting to feel her holding on to him during the night.
She slept under his art always feeling safe knowing that no matter what the nightmare she could wake up and he would be right there next to her, in the darkness bringing light.
The two were made for each other in ways you only read about or saw on the silver screen, how two people who were so made for one another could meet in such a big land.
The rain stopped when they were together, the world wanting to reward their happiness and the sun shined down on them while they both danced with their feet in the sand.
The journey was hard and had some tough spots during, pain and suffering being bumps that threatened to topple their vehicle of love.
Through it all his heart always craved hers, no mountain was too tall, no ocean too large, no cave too dark, and no sky too far above.
Without her he was a puzzle missing the most important piece to be complete, a ship without its captain, a plumber without his princess.
She was everything in a small beautiful package and a smile to die for, smarts in all areas, humor in the best ways, gorgeous without a doubt, she was a rare temptress.
Not a second goes by in the day without a head full of thoughts of her, memories excited to relive with more wanting to be made.
Songs they share filling every minute with lyrics and dances and art inspired to visually express just how much his love will never fade.
She was as close to perfect as they come and she means everything to him, this journey through hell and gangs was awful but the one shining star was always her.
No matter what life threw at him he always knew, with her the rain always stopped, the wind always calmed, the sun always shone, and the heart always beat happily ever after.

A Toast to Meg's Final Plan

The case stood like a small monolith in the middle of the table.  The three sat around it looking at it like it was going to become sentient and spout off wisdom for them all to follow.  Each one of them feeling a different emotion towards the object.  Meg stared at it with anger, something so stupid causing such a ridiculous journey involving so many people.  She was still curious as to how El managed to come into contact with it and get in so much trouble.  Edward looked upon it as another job nearing its completion, this one having a much better reward than any other he had taken on.  He had gone through many tough jobs like this one including kidnappings and rare artifacts but this one was one for the books.  The case itself was old, it had obviously been repaired over the years but the outside of it told a very intricate story that spanned generations.  Markings all over it could stand for things or resemble fights, arguments, and many a close call.  The latches that closed it were carved into the shapes of dragons where the other side of the clasp came out of their mouths.  One of the ears was broken off of one of the faces but the scowl still remained just as opposing.  Meg felt a rush of adrenaline to pick it up and destroy it, burn it, just eliminate it from existence.  She scrunched her hands together to force her energy somewhere where she could control it.  Edward looked at it in such a way that he asked himself if he had anything family heir looms that could have been passed to him that would be this important to him.
"So Smythe, I gotta know, how did you manage to get a hold of it?"
"Well, see that's the crazy part.  You know I operate my own little business here too.  My guys had caught wind of Price a few years ago, kind of a scum bag with confidence issues.  One of my guys worked as a mole as one of his contacts and through the grapevine we come across some information that this girl has something of special importance to Price."
Meg knew immediately.  "El."
Edward looked to her seeing acknowledgement on her face.  If only her friend had stayed alive so he could have asked her more questions.  Found out just what exactly this was all about.
"So, we investigate more and one of my guys gets a little too close to her and finds out that she has some ideas of her own to get ahead in life, pay some loans off, and start a new life with no debt and lots in the bank."
"That sounds like El."
"So I guess Price wormed his way in and made the deal and had this case transported to her.  A cool million included.  The case was a sort of insurance policy of his.  This little object here has been in his family going way back.  It has been handed down through generations to all who were deemed worthy and who would inherit the business.  He uses it as a way to keep extra security on any business he does personally.  You won't get far and the deal won't go south if you're carrying around something that means more to him than life.  Better believe he'll keep an eye on you."
"I don't understand, she was giving it back at the party, I was there.  Something went wrong and I took the case out of there and I had it at my apartment.  Was I under tabs too?"
"Not really no, but like i said, that case was being heavily watched and with so many of us in the business having eyes and ears everywhere it wasn't hard for somebody to watch where the ball went after the play."
"Why not make the deal with Price directly and offer him the case right after that?  Why drag us all into this?"
"Unfortunately for some parties involved, we too like to keep our status and our visibility where we've had it.  Revealing ourselves would have revealed who we were and compromised a lot of our operations."
"Well your little privacy move cost me a lot of time of my life and physical pain."
"I am deeply sorry for that ma'am.  Our intentions were never to hurt and I promise you I will do everything I can to fix the situation."
Meg gave a scoff and Edward took up her hand.
"Speaking of, what's the next move now?  When can we hand it all over and wash our hands of all of this?"
"Price has landed in the area just an hour ago, he is searching the train station and airport at the moment for any whereabouts of you or her.  What we hadn't counted on is that Dante is also doing the same thing.  Seems they have made a deal for the case and are both coming after it with the determination of a bloodhound."
"So we just find them and hand it over."
"It won't be that easy, they will both surely kill you where you stand once they have sight of the case.  Once they know where it is, or even seen it, your usage will be no longer required.  You two know way too much and pose far too great a risk to them."
Meg had an audible swallow but quickly turned from worried to determined.
"Alright, then we flip the odds on them."
"I beg your pardon?"
"I've been planning something for quite a few days now, ever since you trained me in the woods darlin.  We have the case giving us points in our favor.  We have what they both want, so why not use that our advantage and get the drop on them?  The plan that I've come up with should, hopefully, take care of both of them and put us in a position to take over their businesses."
Edward and Smythe looked impression and curious.  It wasn't often you heard someone with such lofty ambitions as to not only give them what they wanted but pull the rug out from under them and take over the whole gang.
"Well I gotta say, sounds pretty interesting to me, go on ma'am."
"Okay, here's what I propose we do."
Meg cleared the table and with some papers and diagrams she unfirled the plan she had been thinking of ever since the day she decided she wasn't going to let them control her life anymore.
"Since I'm the prettiest person here, we are going to go with this plan."
Edward looked at her acknowledging the joking comment and let her continue.
"They both want this case.  So I say we give them the case.  Not what's inside and not without giving them a taste of their own medicine.  Dante doesn't give a damn about the case, so with him we just need to corner him or trick him into meeting us somewhere where we can get the jump on him.  He won't be alone I'm sure but if he knows he is meeting let's say you Smythe for the case, you are trustworthy and he won't be as on guard.  I'm sorry but you'll need to reveal your home and meet him here, once he sits down to examine the case we can attack him then.  Price on the other hand is too eager and impatient to get this case back so I'm thinking he will do whatever he can to get it as fast as he can and be a little reckless about it too.  You can use me as bait.  I'll bring the case to a location of his choice and deliver it to him.  I'm sure he will try and kill me then, that's when I need you to surprise him but that's all, I want Price all to myself after that."
The two men look at one another with no questions coming to either of them, they looked rather joyous.
"Well my friend Edward, if you don't have a problem with this plan, dare say I don't either.  It's risky, very risky but this woman has a confidence that is infectious."
"One of the reasons I am head over heels for her.  We shall start making plans to enact our final attack right now.  Price and Dante will rue the day they decided to come after us."
Smythe brought out glasses and some wine, he poured each one of them a glass and they all raised them together.
"To finally ending this chase of yours and putting two dangerous terrible men in their place."
"To ending the gang's tyranny and my future with the love of my life."  Edward joined.
"To finally getting the happily ever after with my dew drop I've been wanting since that day he was on the rooftop."  Meg added.
They all clinked their glasses together.
"Let's show these dickbags just who they're dealing with.  Let's stop running and start our future."

Night Side Thought of Love to You

His thoughts drifted from the moment at hand and she was the only thing on his mind.
The way her eyes looked at him could communicate a love story unique of any kind.
His fingers followed the curves of her body outlining a story of love.
Every moment spent with her next to him was a moment he thanked to the up above.
There was nobody else like her out there, nobody that made him felt this special way.
He spoke to her constantly but he still found every time he met her eyes he had no idea what to say.
Her beauty was unmatched, glowing with radiance only shared with a select few.
The softness of her skin rivaled silk and when pressed against his created fireworks too.
She spoke with a voice that soothed the heart and eased all tension.
The brunette colors of her hair shined in ways he almost forgot to mention.
He loved the way she held his hand and caressed his palm with her thumb.
She loved how he could make her laugh with any joke no matter how dumb.
The interests they shared was something rare between the two.
Their own passions brought them closer with more to share and more to do.
The nickname of Megels was given to her that only they could share.
She had come up with naked man of which to share in public she did not dare.
When he looked into her eyes he saw his future, content and complete.
She looked into his and wondered how lucky she was that their paths had crossed for them to meet.
His favorite was when she crinkled her nose at him when she smiled and winked.
Her favorite was when he held her, kissed her cheek, and felt their hearts linked.
She clung on to him like a spider monkey in bed with its favorite mate.
He played with her hair and squeezed her back, keeping her happy no matter how late.
They had been through a dangerous adventure together with twists and turns.
She hated the time it took and being attacked with bullets, fists, and burns.
They got one ride on the coaster of life and he knew who he wanted to spend every day of it.
She had a happily ever after in her heart and knew that he was worth every single bit.
Making it to the coast at the beach was a dream come true.
Seeing the sunset and waking to flowers and a trip done took away all that made her blue.
Her lips met his in a way that captured lightning in a bottle for them to see.
She closed her eyes giving herself to him, her lips kissing all that they could be.
The stars shown above while he lay in bed, dreams of her running constantly on a loop.
She smelled her flowers, reminding herself of him, her senses lining up together in a troop.
Together they completed the most beautiful loving puzzle ever seen by man.
Fitting perfectly and yearning for one another like the most passionate fan.
Her hand was what he desired, to call her his other while on one knee.
She dreampt of that reality and was excited for the possibility but did not let him see.
He made her feel like she could be herself and truly enjoy her life completely.
She made him feel like he could accomplish anything and jump for joy repeatedly.
They sang together, played together, and traveled together hand in hand.
She moved in perfect harmony, smile in her heart, feet in the sand.
She was his perfect other half, he'd let her know every single day.
He was her lobster, a comment she didn't know if she could say.
To him, she was perfect, an angel in every way.
To her, he was the happily ever after no matter how the cards lay.
She was a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to him.
Beautiful, emotional, complete, and brightened his every waking day no matter how dim.

The Case Finally Emerges

The contact was to meet them at the train station for when they would have arrived.  Seeing as how the train idea hadn't worked out, Edward had ahead of time given the contact some instructions in case of anything going wrong or delaying them.  This wasn't the first time he had to make a destination and had some trouble along the way.  His contact was an old friend he had remained close with for years now and was someone, the only one, he could put his trust in.  The friend had never let him down, never ratted him out, and to this day been the only person he could count on to get things done.  The mishap on the train led to various different out of the way stops by walk, car, and back roads so due to the time that had gone by, he knew that the best way to find this friend was at his home.  It was a location that was only shared with very very few people, once this home would be found out then nothing would have been safe.  There wasn't much traffic out at this time of day and it was the middle of the week so they wouldn't have to deal with the weekend drivers either.  The flowers in the car produced a wonderful smell that permeated the interior of the car and the girl produced smiles and a contagious happy mood that permeated his own heart to its fullest.  He could tell already that being near the ocean had taken a huge weight off of her shoulders and in turn it rubbed off on him and the combination of it all was making him feel a bit better too.  So far so good as they hadn't run into any goons or that asshat Price or Dante.  That didn't mean they wouldn't, they had tracked them most of the way anyways.  The stop at the gas station brought up a new worry as the Royal Darkness must think that he was responsible for Victoria's death and wanted some revenge.  Little did they know, and little would they even listen, that it was her own doing and in a sense what she had wanted all along.  They were a bit more resourceful so Edward had to keep a sharp eye out for anyone that fit the tell tale signs of their gang.  He flicked on the air conditioning as the temperature was a lot warmer in this part of the world and hearing Meg let out a small sigh of glee told him that it was something she was hoping he would do.
"We are going to meet a friend of mine, he goes by the name Smythe.  I've known him for over ten years and he's proven to be the most trustworthy person I've ever met.  He's gotten me out of jams and there were a few cases we went on together a few years back.  If there is anyone we can count on to be on our side, it's him."
"And he's got the case?"
"He knew where it was, who's hands it landed in.  He went to work using his own resources and managed to procure the case himself."
"Oh man, I've never heard better words in my life."
"Oh?  Not I love you darlin?"
"Well, those are a given.  Those would be my favorite, these are new words that make my ears happy as well."
"He lives up the side of the coastline here near the Ports.  He's been living in Orange for a while, he moved around a little just to stay inconspicuous but he generally stays in the same area."
"This whole place is gorgeous.  So what kind of person is this Smythe character?"
"Don't worry, he's not a tough person to be around or someone looking to be difficult.  One of the most generous people I've met."
"How does someone that nice get involved in such a crazy business."
"You did."
"Not on purpose!"
"True true.  It just sort of happened.  Situations came up that he needed certain avenues for and he's been involved ever since."
The streets only got nicer and the homes were so grand that she had a hard time believing it was all so real.  She was in awe of how clean everything was and how the palm trees accentuated everything, even down to the mailboxes.  The road was very forgiving and within no time they had already reached the area where the contact resided.
"Well, we're in the area now.  No trouble so far, never can be sure but it looks clear at the moment."
"Probably just watching us."
"I wouldn't be surprised.  They want to see where the case is so they are probably just waiting."
"Don't ruin my happy day with talk like that."
"Just want you to be prepared, you can continue to be happy my love."
The streets became very residential until they came up on a large two floored home with a perfectly manicured driveway, Edward pulled in and cut the engine.
"You ready to see this case and get it out of your life for good?"
"Do bears take poops in various woods?"
"Huh?"
"It's a saying.  Yes.  yes is what I should have said.  Yes.  Hell yes."
They walked hand in hand up to the front door.  Edward looked all around him to see if he saw even a hint of anything that looked out of place or cautious.  Once he was satisfied he knocked on the door a few times and they waited in silence.
"This is making me feel a little nervous I'll admit."
"You have nothing to worry about sweetheart.  You're the most beautiful thing in the area and I'm going to kiss you because it's been a few minutes since I have and I need a fix."
They kissed until they heard some noise behind the door and a man opened it up.  He was average height, normal build and wearing a shirt that had the phrase 'salty life' printed on it.  He was tan which brightened up the white cargo shorts he was wearing.  Upon seeing Edward at his door, his face lit up.
"Edward!  I was starting to worry you weren't going to show!  Glad to see ya, how was the trip over to the coast?"
"I don't think there's time enough in the day to explain it all."
"That crazy this time huh?  And who is the beautiful lady?"
"This is Meg, she's the beauty who tamed this beast."
"Nice to meet you ma'am.  Come on in, I'm sure you're dieing to finally see it."
"Poor choice of words, Smythe."
The group went inside and were led through a nicely taken care of home, the view of the main floor let you see all the way through to the back where a pair of sliding doors led to the backyard where there was a large pool.  Meg was loving this place and how everything looked.  Smythe disappeared for a little bit to retrieve the case.
"I love this place.  We have to live here."
"You want me to move here with you, it's done.  I will do whatever it takes to be with you darlin."
"So surreal how I'm about to see the thing that caused all of this to be set into motion.  I've been waiting for this day."
"I know the feeling.  I'll admit I'm pretty excited."
They held hands and she gave him her nose crinkle smile and he went wobbly for her.
Smythe reemerged from upstairs and sat on the couch opposite them.
"Alrighty, here it is, the object that has everyone on your tail."
He pulled out a briefcase that had seen better days but was fashioned in such a way that you could tell straight off that it was old and probably worth a lot.  It was decorated finely and looked heavier than it should be.  He set it on the table in front of them with a loud boom and they all looked at it.  Meg reached out and touched it.
"This is it.  This is the case.  I'm almost speechless.  We can finally end this and start being happy together.  I've never been so happy and relieved to see a briefcase before."
"I'm ready when you are beautiful."
She stared at the case and felt the edges and a slight smile spread across her face.
"Me too dew drop, me too."

A Sun Rise Signals the Final Stage

The couple had finally made it to the coast.  It was a long journey with twists and turns that both wished had been avoided.  He wouldn't have wanted to go through it with anyone else though.  It was the middle of the night and he was starting to get tired.  Meg of course was sleeping like an angel in the passenger seat while he had music playing low for ambiance for her.  Her flowers at in between them ready for her to wake up to.  The coast was a combination of a large metropolitan city and what resembled a vista of vacation type spots.  Palm trees began to line the sides of the road the closer they got into the area.  All kinds of expensive looking housing greeted him on each side of the road with a few that he made a mental note of for later as something to look for.  Not too far off from the road was the ocean.  The waves were too hard to see at the late hour but the moon was bright enough on that night to reflect off of the surface revealing exactly where it was.  Edward was already making plans in his head to take her down to the water and walk the coast hand in hand with the ocean winds blowing around them.  He wanted to wake her to show her what it looked like but he wanted to park somewhere close and rest until sun rise and wake her then so they could watch the sun rise together.  He had his contact with the case waiting and knew the exact place they were supposed to meet.  The delays they ran into were cautioned against ahead of time so there was a backup meeting place just in case depending on timing.  The meeting place was about a few miles into the city so he knew they were far enough in to take a rest.  He took a small road that led down to the actual beach and parked the car.  He opened his window to hear the waves crashing in front of them and in that moment he achieved a peacefulness he had never felt before.  The combination of the ocean winds and sound of the waves mixed with the flowers and beautiful girl next to him were a version of heaven he wanted to share with the world.  He set his watch to a few hours from then and laid back at finally take in some rest.
The moon, tired in its own way, began to slip down out of the sky taking the darkness with it.  The hours passed as the couple rested.  It was nice that after such a trecherous drive and experiences had led to this moment.  Edward slept to keep his thoughts away from thinking about how long it took and what she had to go through.  He wished she could forgive him for it all and once the case was handed over, start what she lovingly called her happily ever after.  Seagulls started to land around the vehicle watching the waters for any stray food to grab before any other life had woken up.
Edward's watch beeped and woke himself up, he was rested enough and could see the colors of the sky beginning to lighten.  He made sure the flowers were in perfect view and nudged his sleeping beauty awake.  She grumbled and opened her eyes to see him first.  She smiled and then noticed the flowers.
"Ooooo, Edward, they're beautiful!  My favorites too, how did you know?"
"I watch what you react to when we are out and about.  I love watching your little self."
"I love them, you're the best.  I love you."
"I love you like crazy Megels."
It was then she noticed they weren't driving.
"Where are we?"
"We're there babe.  The coast.  I wanted to watch the sunrise with you."
Her eyes widened in disbelief and then stayed wide with excitement that they were not only seeing a sunrise but were finally at the coast.
"AH I'm so happy we are finally here!  I was getting so frustrated with all the waiting trying to get here!  The sunrise is going to be spectacular, I've never seen one."
"Let's get out and lay on the hood."
They got out and kissed and he helped her up to the hood of the car.  They laid there watching the skies as they sun began its morning journey up into the sky.  It was a sight that brought tears to her eyes.  She held his hand in one and her flowers in the other and just took in the experience.
"This is the life I want sweetheart.  My hand in yours, on the beach, being in love."
"I will not argue that my love."
As the time went on they could both feel the stresses and pains go away from the journey.  It was finally going to end.  She could hardly believe it herself.  Meg looked around at the waves around her and knew instantly that this was where she wanted her new life to start.  There was something about the environment that made her feel like she could breath and feel a new level of possibilities.  She had the man of her dreams and the sights of her fantasies.

Once they spent the morning together watching the beach, they got back in the car to drive to the location of who had the case.  Meg was ecstatic with the thoughts of ending it all right now.  They drove through the area commenting on the different sights and sounds and taking notes on where they wanted to eat and visit together on dates.  One in particular grabbed her eye by the name of San Marco and she made sure to make a big note in her mind for that one.
"Should be just a few minutes and we will catch up with my contact.  Once we meet him we'll get the case and then end all of this."
"And start our life together."
"Of very course dew drop."

Dante landed at the airport and exited his plane with determination.  He had to find this couple fast and end this before any more time was wasted on this wild goose chase.  He met up with one of his own contacts and got in a car to a spot where the most travelers would be coming into the area.
"Once we reach the spot I want all of us scouting for this couple.  We find them, we get the case, we end this.  Shit's been going on longer than I care for."

Price landed at a separate airport and practically ran off the plane.  He was ready to get his case back and have this whole chaotic experience behind him and move on.  He stopped where he wanted to start his search and the nearest phone to call his contacts in the area who knew all the insides.
"This is it.  The final stage.  I get this case and it's all over.  Yeah it cost half my business but this will be it for it all."
He walked into the airport towards the nearest phone.

The adventure of a lifetime was coming to an end.  All parties involved were tired and anxious and excited for the final stage and to be able to start their new lives together.
Meg bounced up and down in her seat and pinched Edward's elbow.
"I love you naked man."
"I love you Megels darlin."
She gave her famous nose crinkle that made him weak at the knees and they drove straight to the contact's location.  Her favorite songs blaring in the radio and she sang at the top of her lungs and Edward loved every second of it.

The Coast Welcomes with a Sweet Bouquet

Just outside of the city there was a flower stand selling the prettiest flowers he had ever seen.  He pulled up to the patron and got the best bouquet out of the bunch.  He knew what she loved, it would be a great thing to wake up to along with the coast around her.  The patron exchanged money for flowers and peeked into the car.
"Mighty pretty lady you got there."
"Don't have to tell me sir."
Smiles were shared and he placed the flowers in the middle console between the two of them and pulled away.  He needed rest but he couldn't sleep well without her next to him so he decided to wait for the rest until she could join him fully.  The car entered the area of the coast and he whispered to her as he set the flowers up before her.
"Sweet dreams my love, may they be as beautiful as you.  Kisses and my heart full of love to you.  The coast says welcome.  I love you sleepy darlin."

Thoughts of the Future Upon Entering the Coast At Last

Edward continued driving through the night to make sure she got all of her beauty rest.  Not that she needed any.  He wanted to reach the coast faster with no more time being wasted, they had been on this crazy journey long enough.  His focus was laser guided just from emotions alone.  Just being near her gave off a healing feeling that felt like she was curing all of his ailments.  He couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful she was and how happy she made him inside.  His favorite being her cute little chuckle and nose crinkle anytime he used his nickname of Megels to her.  She slept in the seat next to him and he wished they were in a bed so that she could spider monkey herself on to him.  The feeling of her head on his chest and the smell of her hair was something he looked forward to.  He never said it to her but there were so many times he caught himself just staring at her.  There wasn't anyone else he had ever run into that actually gave him pause to admire and appreciate not only her beauty but just being close to her.  He was awestruck  ever since that first night he met her after she came down those stairs.  She had looked back at him before she turned the corner and their eyes met and he thought he caught her with a blushing smile just before she was gone around the corner.  She wouldn't say to keep face but she made reference that his look back to her injected something into her heart that night.  He reached over and felt her fingers, smooth and delicate.  She instinctively wrapped her hand around his, he pulled it close and kissed the back of her palm.  The quiet long night drive gave him time to review his life up to that point and the unfortunate journey that had brought them to this point.  While the case business wasn't his fault, he did feel bad that she had to have been involved in anything that had upset her or put her in a situation that didn't bring her joy.  If he had been a little more careful maybe she wouldn't have gotten shot or attacked.
He let her get hurt.  The thought bore into his head.  This perfect example of beauty had gotten hurt while with him and he wasn't able to stop it or protect her.  Sure she healed but it didn't change the fact that she was shot.  The sadness of hurting her even indirectly brought water back into his eyes because he had seen sadness on her face.  His thoughts wandered into what his embodiment of their future would be like and taking another glance at her, his head was full of ideas.
The case business would be over and there they would be, on the coast.  The ocean would be a rock's throw away and they would be miles and miles from the city that brought with it the rain.  They would be walking around the area and stop on a particular side street to cement the idea of moving there to stay.  It wouldn't be hard to convince him as being somewhere with her and her only was more than a dream.  The two of them would pick out a small apartment at first with white walls and a balcony where they would spend nights talking under the moonlight, her legs set up over his.  He would quit the dangerous detective business and finally go into the profession that he had always wanted to and make sure that she was supported enough to chase after anything she wanted without worry.  It had been a while and he was sure his skin would frighten off the birds but they would visit the beach frequently to not only soak up any sun to cure his pale body but also to walk the sands with a gorgeous bathing suited woman by his side.  One of his favorite things was making dates for the woman he loved.  He tried to be creative and ensure that even if it turned out unsatisfactory, she was still smiling.
She turned in her sleep, made a small coo and continued snoring away.  A strand of her hair fell at just the right angle over her face creating, in his opinion, a beautiful magazine cover sure to make all the other girls jealous.
His depressive guilt made a return and he felt incredibly upset yet again.  The time they could have saved if the train had worked out or the many cars hadn't been destroyed.  He knew she was anxious to begin, citing that she had already felt too much time had gone by already and wanted to make up for lost time for lack of a better phrase.  He felt the pressure on his chest thinking about this journey in any way causing her regret or off putting her due to what had happened.  She truly was the only person that made him feel.....right.
A true sense of being on the correct path in life and a confidence while in emotional form, let his entire being know that this was where he was supposed to be and that she was the one his life was meant for.
He pushed the gas pedal harder to ensure that the coast would arrive in half the time it would have normally.
His fantasies carried on.  A scrapbook would be kept of all of the things they will and did do so that when they are older they can sit together and flip through their life in love and reminisce.  The world was their oyster and he wanted to make sure she saw all of it.  She was a traveling girl, who just from this journey, he knew that it held wonders that would enlarge her gorgeous brown eyes in wonder.  From the water filled streets of Italy to the accents of London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris where he would finally take the knee that brought the question that would decide the rest of their lives.  When they walked through the different towns on the way, he noticed how she would look as much as she could at the jewelry and rings in the store windows.  She wouldn't say a word but the look on her face told him to pay attention for these were the glittery candies that she desired.
He saw it actually being fun growing old with her and a part of him that he hadn't delved into before began to surface.
Children.
He had been with people before but there was something he couldn't place his finger on that told him inside that she was the one.  She would be an incredible mother who was kind, caring, and would raise a child up to be a good person.  It was a bit exciting to him thinking about the process of taking care of her and feeling her stomach to having the baby and being called a father.  What would he prefer?  A girl.  With Meg's looks of course and his....artistic talents.  His new family.  A feeling rumbled inside of him that he had never felt before.  It wasn't exactly excitement but it was a undeniable feeling of figuring out just what God had set out for him, knowing he was on the right track.
The coast wouldn't be long.  What if something happened to her there?  The mere thought of not being able to see her for one day sent shivers throughout his body.  He had taken this journey and worked hard to make sure that in the end it was the two of them.  Her voice and laugh cured his stressed, her body cured his illnesses, and her being cured his obstructions.  She wasn't awake now but he made a mental note to make sure that the moment she was conscous that he would make sure that she knew, whatever life throws their way, they would handle it together.  That he may have a checkered past but whatever the cost of living the rest of his days with her would be worth more than the price of admission.  She would always have flowers and be told she was beautiful.  She would have all of her stresses of the day taken care of and massaged away from her feet to her shoulders.  He would make sure she could wish on every shooting star and go to sleep feeling like a million dollars.  They had both been through a lot and now it was time to show her just how much she meant to him.  He was through with this journey, with the chase, with any more lost time.  If Price or Dante had plans on doing anything to her then they'd have to go through him first.
In his moment of reflection, he did something he rarely did but found that she brought out the best in him and he wanted to make sure he made good on his promise.  He looked into the sky and let go of all of his inside turmoil.
"God....it's me.  I know I haven't been the best in regards to you.  But I wanted to tell you that I understand now and have grown.  What I'm carrying in this car is worth more than my life and I'll always be willing to risk it for her.  Give me the strength to make her the happiest girl in the world and watch over us as we enter the coast.  She means the world to me and....well....i've hurt her.  A lot of this mess is my fault and she should rightfully be angry as hell with me.  But she isn't.  I know that in her heart she loves me just as much as I love her and I want to thank you for bringing her into my life.  I never thought someone like me would be able to be with someone like her.  She's beautiful, smart, tough, and if I may...what angels would be like had they revealed themselves walking the Earth.  I haven't been the best person and I've done many things I'm not proud of or regret and I'd like to take a minute to apologize and ask for forgiveness.  I never meant any harm and was truly either confused or in a bad spot but I never ever meant any harm.  Especially any harm that has come Megels way.  I hadn't been a big believer and I hope you'll forgive me for that.  But you brought her to me and I want to make sure I make amends for any wrong doings that I've done and have the chance to make it up to her.  She deserves it.  I've made her so happy, I just want the chance to continue on doing that until we can both join you up there.  She's my one.  You've been kind enough to give us all one life to live down here and I'd like to spend mine with her if that's alright with you.  Because I'd consider myself already made it to heaven at that point.  Please forgive me for hurting her and causing the messes we're in.  I do truly love her and give you my word that I will spend the rest of my life making it up to her.  Ahmen."
He realized he had teared up and tears had rolled down both cheeks.  He hadn't felt emotions like this if ever.  Her feet moved a bit and she swallowed, her lips parted.
"You have my word, my love, this'll be the happiest ever after you could possibly imagine."
The car sped on and she turned to her other side, facing him.  Her eyes didn't open and she sleepily made contact.  "What'd you say dew drop?"
"I said I love you with all my heart until the day I die."
She smiled "I love you too naked man, with all my heart and more."
"I promise."
The car flew down the road and up a hill and once it crossed over the top, the coast was in view.  It looked wonderful with palm trees and all kinds of buildings around.  This was it, they finally made it.  The coast was in view and the love of his life was right next to him.  He kissed her on the forehead and she lifted her head, eyes still closed, angling for a  kiss on the lips.  He returned and kissed her like it was the first time.  She smiled with her crinkled nose and laid back down.
"Sweet dreams Megels, when you wake up, the coast will be right outside your door."
She smiled again before beginning to snore.  Edward rolled up his sleeves and pressed on the gas.
"Alright Price, let's end this.  You've delayed my time with my girl and put us through all manner of hell.  It's time for you to pay."

Love Thoughts Right Before

He sat next to her in the car, his thoughts running wildly.
I can't do this without you.  This crazy chase to this case has taken long but not a day goes by that he hasn't planned his future with her.  His heart aches and there is nothing he wants more than to be with her.  Every single night and day.  With the end right around the corner and everything falling into place, every single thought every single action every single day all of his focus is on her.  He can't sleep right unless he thinks of her, can't plan his future unless she is at his side.  Knowing that he is the cause of this awful chase rips him up inside.  It's never been this close before and the need for her is the most it has ever been.  She needs to know that without her it's just not worth it.  I can't do this without you he says.  Time was always his biggest enemy.  He turns away from her so that he can cry, he is so scared.  It wouldn't matter where she was, he would come to her and be with her.  There is no distance too far in the world.  The life he is living right now is wrong, not himself.  The only time he ever truly felt alive was any second with her.  It's become too hard to sleep and the saddness grows inside to an almost unbearable level.  The way she looked at him, her smile, the things she would say.  Tears pour down his cheeks.  I can't do this without you.  It had been a very rough life and the chase was only making it worse.  You don't get to find your one only to just watch from afar.  There weren't any more words he could even think of to say just how much she meant to him, just how much he loves her.  He quietly vowed to do whatever it took to make sure he was the best self he could be and make sure her heart knew just how much his was hers.  Deep inside himself he knew that she felt the same.  This crazy stupid case chase was hurting her the longer it took to reach that coast.  The true love of his life was just a few miles in front of him, he never hated a case so much in his life.  His heart ached.  It was an odd choice but he wanted to let her know that he was devoted to her.  Loved her so much it hurt.  Wanted to lasso the moon for her to make up for the terrible events that they had gone through the last few weeks.  He was willing to give it all up.  All of it, just to hold her hand.  He missed her more than he had ever missed anything.  He pushed the gas hard and the car sped on even faster.  I love you.  I can't do this without you.  The coast was coming up fast, the chase was about to be over.  His life was dedicated to her, no matter what it took.  The only happily ever after in his book was her.  Even looking upon her now, his heart skipped a beat.  She was perfect.  In turn, it made him be as perfect as possible.  He wasn't going to wait once they reached the coast, the second they were there he was going to make her the biggest display of love and devotion he could think of.  He was in love.  The biggest sorry couldn't erase the chase that they had been on to this point but he knew that if given the chance, he could change that and make her the happiest person in the world.  There was no doubt about it.  He knew the coast was close, could smell the ocean air.  This was it, it was finally coming to an end.  I love you.  I can't do this without you.

Close Call Stop for Gas

The wind blew through her hair, her hand hanging out of the window coasting on the currents of air.  It was almost like she was trying to outrun the storm as it tried its best to catch up to the beautiful brunette speeding down the road.  She was following the directions Edward had given her and at the moment it was taking her high up on a small mountain pass that emptied out near an ocean.  The drop seemed huge, she couldn't look for long out of fear she might accidentally drive too close and fall off the cliff.  Edward slept away next to her, there was something about driving on her own through this part of the world at that speed that made her feel powerful.  The car gave a slight shudder with a noise that couldn't have been good.  It was at that moment that she looked down at the gas meter to see that they were just about to run out.  Being so caught up in driving through the wind she forgot to pay attention to the gas tank.  She nudge Edward awake.
"Um, darlin, little issue, kind of running out of gas."
"Well, just like the store, first sign of any rural area we can stop."
"Hopefully it's soon."
"That's pretty low, it better be soon."
"Yeah I got a little distracted."
"I know the feeling.  Shouldn't be one too far."
Meg continued her course but pulling back on the gas a little.  The needle hung dreadfully close to the empty mark creating some worry.  As beautiful as it was out there, she didn't want to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere.  A lone station was spotted in the distance by itself without much of a town or neighborhood in view.  Meg silently celebrated and pulled into the station.  She woke Edward again.
"Found one, not a moment too soon as well."
"Lucky as always, beautiful."
They both got out and entered the small station.  A greasy attendant looked up from the counter and gave a nod.  Edward approached first.
"Afternoon, just need filled up."
"Haven't seen anyone like you two before."
"Just travelers making our way east and ran out of gas."
"Yeah, alright, I'll take care of it."
The tenant eyed Meg who was looking around the shop.  He clicked his tongue, squinted his eyes and then left through a back door.  Meg was looking at a can of broccoli soup.
"I used to eat this all the time back home."
"That stuff smells awful."
"You smell awful!  This stuff's good!"
"I prefer chicken noodle myself."
"Plain and boring chicken soup."
"At least it smells better."

The tenant opened a door to the back of the station and walked over to a telephone that was hanging on the wall.  He dialed a quick succession of numbers and waited for a response.
"Yeah, it's me.  Believe it or not that couple just walked into my station.  Uh huh.  Not her.  Yeah, I can do that.  No, won't be a first.  I'll call back with the results."
He hung up and continued on to fill up the car with gasoline.

"You think the next town will be far off?"
"Not sure, why?"
"Just want to go to the bathroom now just in case."
"Not a bad idea."
They each took a restroom to relieve themselves.  Edward was out first and looked out of the window to check on the status of the car.  Outside was empty, the tenant was nowhere to be found.  Odd, where would he go so quickly?  He stood up straight and turned around to see the tenant right behind him swinging a wrench striking him in the head and knocking Edward unconscious.
Meg exited the bathroom and began looking for Edward.  The tenant was nowhere to be found, neither was Edward.  She remained calm until she saw Edward's hat on the ground.  Did something happen?  Her eyes darted around the station only settling when she saw the flutter of a coat in the wind across the way at the cliff side.  The tenant was dragging Edward's body to the edge fo the cliff.
"What the hell? No!"
Meg crashed out the front door and ran after the two men.  The station owner had gotten Edward to the edge, hands were bloody, and held the now waking up detective over the side.
"Wakey wakey."
"What the hell did you...."
"Shut up and tell me exactly what I want to know or my hands get mightily slippery."
"You can go to hell."
"Why'd you kill Victoria?"
"I didn't."
"Don't lie!"
He pushed Edward closer.
"Did it feel good to take her life?"
"Wasn't me dickhead."
Meg caught up with the men and started beating on the attendant.  She tried choking him but it only served to annoy him.  He pushed her off making her trip backwards.  Pissed, Meg leapt up and wrestled the man to the ground, accidentally causing him to let go of Edward who began slipping down the hill.
"Darlin no!"
Meg crawled down the side and grabbed on to Edward, preventing him from slipping more.  Edward got his footing a bit when the tenant grabbed Meg from behind, forcing her to be his prisoner.
"Now I have your woman!  Tell me what I want or she goes over!"
"We didn't kill her!"
"Liar!  Then who has the case!?"
"Let her go and I'll tell you."
"No way, tell me and she doesn't go over."
Meg struggled to break free but couldn't, her only option was to hit back the only way she could.  At the end of his sentence, Meg launched her head backwards cracking into the man's face breaking his nose.  He screamed out in pain, letting her go.  His feet slipped on the rocks and losing his balance he fell down the cliff.  Meg jumped forward grabbing on to Edward, the both of them helping each other stay up.
"Nice going, sweetheart."
"Not letting anything happen to you."
They helped each other back up the side and to their car.
"I'm going to finish filling the car.  Why don't you go inside and stock up.  It's not like anyone is going to stop us."

Once the car was full they got back inside.  Meg's arms were full of groceries.
"Let's get out of here, I got everything we need.  Including broccoli soup."
"You're too much, lover."
They pulled away leaving an almost deadly area alone to the quiet.

The Royal Darkness sat in a spacious room near a telephone waiting for a call from a tenant that would never come.  Their anger rising.
